About the space:
The Grinning Bear is a beautiful, modern 4-bedroom cabin tucked away on almost 2 acres of pine forested land on the north side of Hochatown (aka Broken Bow). It boasts a front porch, back deck and a second-story balcony for the ultimate in outside enjoyment. It is about 7 minutes from all of the local restaurants and activities.
The Kitchen
As you enter the front door, you will enter the kitchen area where there is a large, very well-equipped kitchen with plenty of seating for your group. The granite countertops and huge farmhouse sink will make you feel like you’re cooking in a magazine kitchen! You will really enjoy cooking full homemade meals here if you choose to stay in some nights of your stay!
The Living Room
Imagine your family and friends enjoying each other’s company sitting in front of the magnificent floor-to-ceiling stone gas log fireplace watching tv and/or enjoying a cozy fire. The whole group can sit on the comfortable sofas as there is plenty of room for everyone. You will also find a guest bathroom and a laundry room closet right off the living room.
The Bedrooms and Bathrooms
On the first floor, is a king bedroom with a fabulous en suite bath. This king bedroom is just the space to relax and unwind with a comfortable mattress, pillows and linens. This room features its own full bath that includes a huge, gorgeous double walk-in shower, and double vanity. Grab your favorite book and glass of wine and relax in the large soaking tub!
Upstairs you will find a fun bunkroom with sleeping for up to 8, complete with two 3-bed bunks and a convertible sofa. We ask that only children are on the top bunks, please! There are 2 real retro video game consoles as well as plenty of board games to keep your crew entertained for hours when not playing outside.
Down the hall from the bunk room are two more king bedrooms, both appointed with comfortable mattresses, linens, and pillows. One bedroom shares a bathroom with the bunkroom while the other has its own ensuite bathroom. Both bedrooms have doors that open out to the 2nd story balcony.
The Outdoor Space
The outside living area of this cabin is so much fun! This is one of the only cabins in all of Hochatown that has its own basketball court! There is also outdoor Cornhole and Connect Four! The large deck has plenty of seating for grilling out. Or, you can choose to just chill out in front of the large stone gas log fireplace! Better yet, take a dip in the hot tub on a brisk night! Enjoy brunch or a picnic anywhere on the cabin grounds, and then enjoy a campfire in the firepit at the edge of the forest; the perfect place for making s’mores!

Grounds security is provided via outdoor security cameras and do NOT permit the following at any time:
No Pets No Smoking or Vaping of any kind No Fireworks Permitted
Must be 25 to rent and person booking must be present at the property during the entirety of the stay.
You will be required to sign a rental agreement which will require you to upload your license.
Keep in mind that Broken Bow/Hochatown is a rural area and while our cabins are wired for fast Internet, outages can and do occasionally occur. We cannot guarantee your Internet service.
A starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, bath soap, dishwashing liquid, trash bags, dishwasher tablets, laundry soap, coffee, coffee filters, and salt & pepper will be provided for your stay. All cabins have fully equipped kitchens, washers/dryers, towels, and linens.
Propane is provided for gas grills. Please clean the grill tray after use to prevent flare-ups.
We drain and sanitize our hot tubs after every check-out.
Fireplaces are seasonal from mid-October to early May. (Dates may change if the weather changes early.)
A $600 security deposit will be held on your card during your stay and released 2 days after your departure pending no damages or missing items. This is a hold, not a charge.
Furniture and decor are subject to change without notice.
Please note that this is a forested area and there are times when the Oklahoma Forestry Service enforces a burning ban in the area. Fines can be upwards of $1000. Please check online for the current burn ban status before using the outdoor firepit.
