Come to Here Comes the Sun cabin for the perfect getaway for couples, families and friends! Here Comes The Sun – formerly known as Shangri-La Lodge–a spacious two-story cabin with beautifully appointed double master suites set among mature pines. Watch the sunrise from your open living room that boasts soaring ceilings while snuggled up by a stone hearth fireplace or sit outside on our patio where you can enjoy views of forestland before sundown each day.
Living Area
The living room has a lodge-style stone fireplace & hearth (gas), ultra-comfortable leather couches, and a couple of chairs, allowing for plenty of room for everyone in your group to gather together to watch tv, or sit by the fire and talk. The living area also features an arcade game console for some retro gaming fun, and a large coffee table if your preference is board and card games! If you need to get some work done while at the cabin, we have a desk for you to comfortably set up your laptop. Internet* speeds are great at the cabin with our fiber-optics Internet service!
Kitchen
Here Comes the Sun also offers a fully equipped kitchen to entertain and cook. Our dining table sits 6, and we’ve got 3 more places to sit at the kitchen island. While our cabin is very close to all the best restaurants in town, you may want to stay in and enjoy cooking your own meals with your family and friends!
2 Bedrooms plus Bunk Loft
The King-bed suites are perfect for those looking to get their own space, with a king-suite on each floor. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with walk-in showers. The bedrooms are luxuriously appointed with high-quality bedding, stylish linens and large-screen TV’s. The downstairs bedroom features a corner fireplace with a double futon bed in addition to the king bed. The downstairs bathroom includes a claw-foot tub as well as a luxurious shower for 2. The upstairs bedroom also features a king-size bed and a single futon perfect for small children. The en suite bathroom features a huge shower for 2 as well.
Additionally, upstairs, there is an open loft with a set of full-sized bunk beds.
Outdoor Area
Relax in the oversized hot tub, grill out or sit by the outdoor fireplace on the covered, wrap-around porch. Relax in our rocking chairs and listen to the sounds of nature. Challenge your friends to a game of horseshoes or cornhole, or explore the 1.2 acres of woods on our property. When the sun sets, sit fireside around the fire pit for toasted marshmallows. Whether it is rest, lake activities, hiking, or enjoyment of nearby restaurants or breweries/wineries (1/2 mile), utopia awaits you in the privacy of the pines at Here Comes the Sun. We warmly invite you to stay and create memories!
NOTE: OUTDOOR SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS are located at the entrances of the cabin.
*Please note that because we are in a rural town, the Internet can go out occasionally. Outages usually don’t last more than an hour and don’t happen that often, but it’s good to be aware if you’re planning to work.
