Kayak Broken Bow or Canoe Beavers Bend

Team up in a canoe, go it alone in a kayak or gather the whole family for a leisurely raft float — whatever you prefer, the clear mountain-fed waters around Beavers Bend can accommodate any trip down the river.

The Mountain Fork River is famed in the region as a fly fishing destination, but its cool rushing waters are also an ideal passage for canoeing, kayaking and floating. The river features Class I and II rapids, with waterfall drops as high as four feet in some places.

The more experienced paddler will want to seek out the secluded Glover River, Oklahoma’s only “untamed” waterway, with no dams blocking its course through the terrain. The river provides a thrilling ride for veteran floaters not opposed to navigating unpredictable waters.

If a peaceful, scenic canoe float is more your speed (and if you’d prefer to stay dry while enjoying a relaxing day on the river), the river that winds through Beavers Bend Resort Park is a favorite for families.

Whichever mode you prefer, the Beavers Bend area has a wide variety of rentals and outfitters ready to equip your adventure.
